Bioheavenly axis (n): In Chinese philosophy; the Taiji (Great Heavenly Axis/ 太極) forms a unity, from which two antagonistic concepts, Yin and Yang originate. The word Yin originally referred to a hillside facing away from the sun. Philosophically, it stands the gloomy, passive, female concept, whereas Yang (the hillside facing the sun) stands for the bright, active, male concept. Both concepts, though antagonistic, are also complementary and the present domination of one implies the future rise of the other, as moon's phases (this is one of the meanings of the well-known Yin-Yang figures). In Final Fantasy X; One of the Summoner Yuna's weapons, or rather, aide in battle. A staff that is used to cast white magic, to heal her Guardians, the rare and occasional black magic, and to summon. With it she can not only summon the aeons she has acquired through her training, but can also perform the Sending, a dance that sends the souls of the departed to the Farplane so they do not remain and become fiends. One of her most powerful staves.
